Originally born in Wiesbaden, Germany into an Army family, Candy’s path eventually led her to Florida in 1981, where she grew up on acreage in Brooksville near the Gulf Coast. Her love for the outdoors started early, with weekends spent exploring Florida’s state forests, horseback riding, and searching for the state’s best beaches, a lifestyle that continues to shape her connection to the communities she serves today.
Candy began her professional career with Ford Motor Company in 1998 as a collector and skip tracer before moving into the banking and consumer finance industry. Over 17 years, she advanced from teller to branch manager and mortgage originator, consistently exceeding production goals while maintaining a strong reputation for customer service and relationship building. During the real estate downturn, she served as a grant administrator for housing and economic development programs across Florida, managing Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) initiatives for multiple counties and cities. These experiences provided her with a comprehensive understanding of real estate from financing and rehabilitation to sales, a perspective that continues to benefit her clients today.
Now based in Boca Grande, Candy lives with her son Ian, along with their two dogs and three cats. She is actively involved in her community, serving as Treasurer of the Boca Grande Area Chamber of Commerce and volunteering throughout the Cape Haze and Boca Grande areas. From supporting local scholarship funds and organizing tarpon tournaments to baking for community events, she believes strong communities are built through service and connection.
When she’s not working with clients, Candy embraces the coastal lifestyle she loves boating, fishing, and enjoying the banyan-lined streets and waterfront charm of Boca Grande. A two-time ladies tarpon tournament winner, she knows firsthand the value of patience, preparation, and timing, qualities she brings to every real estate transaction.
